JoAnn Sylvia Cotnoir

OXFORD - JoAnn Sylvia Cotnoir, 50, of Oxford, died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway. She was born JoAnn Sylvia Pothier on April 25, 1960 in Connecticut to Andre and Marielle Pothier, of Quebec, Canada. The family later moved to Northern Vermont where she was raised with her three brothers and sister.
She graduated from North Country High School in 1976. She married Claude Cotnoir and together they quickly began to start a family of their own. By 1979 she was blessed with two wonderful daughters. Soon after, the family made a move to Oxford, where her two sons were born in the years to follow. She was a devoted wife and very proud mother of her four children.
Mrs. Cotnoir enjoyed being a Mary Kay consultant for more than 15 years. She was kind hearted, fun-loving, very giving, and always family oriented. She was always willing to go the extra mile and lend a hand whenever she could. She was loved by all who knew her.
She loved taking vacations with her family, snowmobiling, hiking, camping, outings to different attractions, visiting family, and relaxing at the ocean.
Mrs. Cotnoir is survived by her husband, Claude; four children, Diane, Marie, Marc and Derek Cotnoir; brothers, Andreo, Serge and Mario Pothier and sister, Sue Pion.
Visitation was held Friday, July 16 at Weston-Chandler Funeral Home, 45 Main St., South Paris. A Funeral Service took place Saturday, July 17 at the First Congregational Church, 17 E. Main St., South Paris. On-line condolences may be shared with her family at www.westonchandler.com.
