Paula Elizabeth Crabtree
MECHANIC FALLS - Paula Elizabeth Crabtree, 69, passed away on May 28, 2010 at her home in Mechanic Falls, with her family by her side. Mrs. Crabtree was born in Perham on September 8, 1940. She attended Riverview Memorial School in Norridgewock, and graduated from GBA in Boston, MA, in 1959. She worked as a CNA at Market Square Health Care in South Paris, volunteered for Hebron Rescue and did home care work. She went on missions trips to Paraguay and India. She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church for many years. She loved doing colporter work with her husband and she loved flowers, gardening, sewing, quilting, braiding rugs, upholstering and did many carpentry projects. She awaits the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mrs. Crabtree was predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Nellie Huston; a brother, Gary and her twin girls, Heidi Sue and Lorilee May on February 28, 1966. They lived only one day. Mrs. Crabtree is survived by her husband, Charles Crabtree, whom she married on June 11, 2000; two sons, Herbert Thomas Glover IV and his wife Jeannie and daughter Kayleen and Frank Howard Glover Jr. and his wife Barbara and their children, Frank and Elizabeth; stepchildren, Charles Crabtree Jr. and wife Rebecca, Julie Roux and husband Francis and their children, Nathan, Joshua and Carly; siblings, Hester Haus and husband Sigmund of Murphy, NC, Betty Blake of Skowhegan, Mary Luce of Keosauqaua, IA, Clyda Bentginger and husband Gary of Glendale, CA; sister-in-law, Ilsa Huston of Fayetteville, GA; other siblings Menelva Crawford and husband James of Lawrenceburg, TN, Gerald Huston and wife Barbara of Pueblo West, CO, Quentin Huston and wife Akram of Colorado Springs, CO, Wyman Huston and wife Marilyn of Bryant Pond, Louella Harlow and husband Harlan of West Paris and Charlotte Berry of Livingston, MT and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 11 at 1 p.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 259 Fore St. in Oxford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Riverview Memorial School in Norridgewock, ME; Pinetree Academy in Freeport, ME or Forestdale School in South Woodstock, ME.
