Robert "Bob" H. Sande

SOUTH PARIS - Robert “Bob” H. Sande, 61, of South Paris passed away at his home on Streaked Mountain on July 16, 2010. He was born February 11, 1949 to Leonard J. Sande and Ruth Isabelle Stannis Sande in New Haven, CT. Having come to Maine (from CT) he spent several years in the Stratton area and then relocated to the Oxford Hills area. He worked at Wilner’s for years and was a volunteer fireman for the Town of Norway.
He loved to watch sports of all kinds, especially NASCAR (Jeff Gordon), baseball (New York Yankees) and football (Patriots). Being a retired member of the Saracens Motorcycle Club he loved to ride. However, due to ill health the past several years, he had been unable to do so. He was a man with a huge heart and loving soul. He will be sadly missed by many.
Mr. Sande is survived by his son, Jesiah and his partner Stacey May; wife Sandy; friend, Ann Mullen and her daughter Danielle; his sister, Donna Masseli and her husband Drew; his brothers, Lenny Sande and his partner Joanne and Butch Sande; his nephews, Andrew Masseli, Anthony Masseli, Joey Sande and Logan Dam; nieces, Barbara and Carol; two great nieces; his sister, Debbie Sande and his beloved dog, Squash. He was predeceased by his beloved friend, Myra; his brother, Rich and his son, Joshua. WALSTIB (What a long strange trip it’s been). On-line condolences may be shared with his family at www.westonchandler.com
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 22 at 4 p.m. at Weston-Chandler Funeral Home, 45 Main St. in South Paris. Family and friends called at the funeral home on Wednesday evening. Donations in his memory can be made directly to the funeral home.
